Summer feeling

The Brückenwirt Hotel in Montan is the ideal starting point for your summer holidays in the Dolomites. Whether you want to climb a mountain or simply enjoy a nice walk: Montan and the Fleimstal are a paradise for mountain lovers and hikers who want to explore the wonderful mountain scenery of the Dolomites. However, summer holiday-makers can expect much more: unforgettable mountain-biking, golfing, swimming and Nordic Walking experiences, as well as a climbing paradise, which will turn your summer holiday in the Dolomites into a memorable adventure.

You can cool down with a dive into our panorama pool: take the plunge and enjoy – that’s our motto.

Here are our suggestions for your holiday planning:

A drive in the Dolomites, ascend – on foot or by cable-car – into a fascinating mountain world, for example onto the Sella plateau, onto the Rosengarten, the Latemar or the glacier Marmolada
A drive to Kastelruth, the home village of the famous “Kastelruther Spatzen” and a visit up to the Seiser Alm, the biggest alpine pasture in Europe.
A visit to the pilgrimage church Maria Weißenstein, only 15 minutes from our hotel. The origins of Maria Weißenstein go back to the year 1553, when Maria apparently appeared to the mountain farmer Leonhard Weißensteiner.
Detour to Lake Karersee or to the Earth pyramides in Ritten above Bozen – easily reachable by cable-car!
A drive to Meran for a stroll and some shopping, or a visit to the gardens of Schloss Trauttmansdorff, where once Empress Sissi ambled along the paths
A walk to Lake Göller and from there to the Rotwand with a unique panoramic view from Meran to Salurn or a hike in the Trudner Horn Nature Park

Motorbike friendly: how else could it be? Situated at the start of the big Dolomite passes we are a motorbike –friendly hotel. Our biker guests will find a safe garage for their motorbikes and tools for small repairs.

Lots of walks begin directly in front of the hotel – two suggestions:

Follow the old railway track (panoramic view of the entire south of South Tyrol) until Castle Enn, then through the village of Montan to the waterfall near Auer and return via the “Katzenleiter” (cat-ladder), finally cross the bridge at Aldein (110m high – 220m long) and back to the hotel.
Take the walk to the Cislon alpine hut in the middle of the Trudner Horn Nature Park. Simply start in front of the hotel, pass the alpine pastures Gomaroa and Mittereben, walk up to Cislon and from there follow the well signed trails and paths to the Cislon alpine pasture. There you will find an alpine hut which serves food.

Some more interesting suggestions:

Our hotel is an ideal starting point for many mountain bike tours. Just above the hotel there are the tracks of the abandoned Fleimstal railway line from where there is an ideal connection to all bike routes.
18 hole golf course in Petersberg. For those who would like to spend a day on the green there is a golf course just 15 minutes away by car.
What would South Tyrol be without a visit to a wine cellar? Many private cellars and wine co-operatives offer guided tours. We willingly help you to find a suitable tour.
Enjoy a drive to Lake Garda with its romantic little towns – for a bit of fun we suggest visiting the fun park „Gardaland“ or „Caneva“, a water world with various slides.
Why not visit the lagoon city Venice or Verona? They are only a day trip but will leave memorable impressions. You can reach both cities by car or by public transport.

Be amazed by the magical variety of South Tyrol’s summer.
